Volunteers play an essential role at the Backside Learning Center. The programs we host at the BLC would not be possible without the hard work and dedication of our volunteer team.
Volunteering at the BLC is a great way to make a difference in the community, meet and learn about new people and help our students learn important skills and feel at home. Check out our seasonal volunteer opportunities!

Tutor an adult one-on-one in English at the day and time that works best for you and for one of our students. This is a wonderful chance to get to know an adult who works on the track and help them further their English.
This opportunity is currently on hold as we get more clients to commit to coming weekly for 1-on-1 tutoring.
Volunteers help watch the little ones while we are conducting our Adult mental health/nutrition/one-off meetings, as well as our weekly parent support group meetings.
